Lucie has been my teacher since I was 7 years old. Thanks to the training and encouragement Lucie has given me I am now an I am an “all-rounder”. I first found love of dance when I "battled" with bboys (breakdance) but over the years I have trained hard with Lucies help and my dance styles now include commercial, house, salsa, locking, poppin and more recently, contemporary and ballet, yes ballet!

I realised some dance schools teach “street” dance with little technique behind their moves, whilst others teach the foundations of a dance style, the techniques and history behind each move or style. Everyone wants to do flips and tricks to please the crowd but you have to start with the foundation and get the technique right - this is what Lucie does!

I have been involved in many performances, with Dance Nuvo at Breakin' Convention, the opening night for the UK B-Boy Championships in 2013 and 2014 and Breathe the Beat West Midlands Tour.

I owe my dance career to the support and training Lucie has given me.

  • Nuvo III 2nd in Midlands Best Dance Crew!

On Saturday evening, Nuvo III, a dance crew originated from stafford came second place in the prestigious Midlands Best Dance crew competition held in Leicester; previous winners of the competition have gone on to perform as part of high profile dance shows such as Street Dance (Channel 4), Britain’s Got Talent (ITV) and Got to Dance (Sky1).

The show included hip-hop, street and break dance, performed by the most talented crews from across the region, of all ages, with high energy, jaw-dropping moves!

Nuvo III saw off many crews to make it to the top 10 chosen crews who would perform in the live event at the Curve Theatre Leicester. These top 10 crews were then judged, in front of an audience of over 600 people, by a panel of special guests judges. The crews of dancers went head-to-head in an evening of extraordinary routines which saw Nuvo III come second place!

Dance Nuvo is run by Lucie Talbott in Stafford and Birmingham. They were Semi Finalists of Alesha Street Dance Star's 2011, performed at the Hippodrome for Breakin' convention 2012, 2009 and 2006. They recently performed for Crazy Legs (with rave reviews) at the opening preview night for the UK BBoy Championships in Birmingham.
